Brewer Michael Garratt, artist Annette Witteman and their children Jasper and Grace moved to Mayne Island from the Okanagan Valley in 2005 and quickly settled into small Gulf Island living. For Over 18 years Michael has made weekly commutes to represent Kettle Valley,
Orofino, and Pentage wineries. Selling their exquisites wines into the Vancouver and Whistler market. On weekends Michael developed his passion of home brewing until in 2016 his dream of brewing professionally came true. Early years spent in the Cheshire countryside of England and his travels to pubs across Europe have defined Michael's brewing pallet.
In December of 2016, under the mentorship of some of Vancouver's most amazing brewers we OPENED our small batch brewery and on site store to the public.
Label art, hand printed packaging and swag is produced by Annette and the whole family helps with bottling and hand labeling.
In 2018 we received validation for our efforts with two awards- a Silver at the Canadian Brewing Awards in Halifax for the Barrel Aged Brown Ale and a Third at the BC Brewing Awards for the Beet Buck!
